Glass masters
Giuliano Ballarin

In the family of Master Giuliano Ballarin, the art of glass is a tradition that has been handed down ever since 1483. Before opening its own furnace in 1973, Giuliano Ballarin refined his artistic sensibility during a long apprenticeship that led him to working at the sides of the best glassmasters at the time, such as Albino Carrara, Master Caramea and Francesco Martinuzzi. The skill he achieved in traditional techniques, especially in filigrana (filigree) and reticello (small networks) working, has been combined with its remarkable curiosity, giving rise to a sophisticated style that is able to combine the most modern tastes with the refined Murano tradition. His recognized abilities have led him to create works for some of the world's most famous artists, such as Fred Wilson and Chisa Kotaki.
